Who We Are
Mission Statement:
Ponca City Foursquare Church on the BroadWay exists to love and worship God, to model dignity and worth to all men, and to reach beyond ourselves by intercepting lives at key junctures of decision. Matthew 7:13,14.
We will do this by:
- Up reach...Loving God - reaching up to God in our Worship - Matt. 22:36. We will provide an atmosphere of anointed, Spirit-led worship that enables individuals the opportunity to express corporately their love and gratitude to God. Jn. 7:24.
- In reach...Loving people - serving one another through discipleship training and accountability to God and leadership. Matt. 22:37. We will provide an atmosphere of acceptance while allowing each individual the opportunity to discover and express the giftedness God has equipped him or her with. To serve, encourage, build up, strengthen and mature as a follower of Jesus Christ. We will promote and teach practical ways that please God and further this in His kingdom. 1 Peter 2:4-10
- Outreach...Reaching people - caring enough to go. Acts 1:8. We will provide an atmosphere where all people are valued and respected; we will identify and work in key harvest fields where lives are changed through the promotion and participation of world, regional, local, cross-cultural and multi-generational ministry opportunities. "Dedicated to the cause of inter-denominational worldwide evangelism." "With God all things are possible" Matt. 19:26.
Our Ministerial Staff:
Pastors Blaine and Deb Herron began pastoring Ponca City Foursquare 17 years ago. Blaine was born and raised in Northern Kansas and had his life transformed by the power of the gospel at 17. 8 months after being saved and filled with the Spirit Blaine received a call into pastoral ministry. Pastor Blaine is the lead Pastor of Ponca City Foursquare. Pastor Deb was born in Topeka Kansas and was adopted into a family with a Spirit Filled mother and Lutheran Father. She received Christ at the age of 3 and was filled with the spirit at age 4. On top of her worship and associate pastor duties, Deb worked as a hairdresser for more than 20 years.
Pastors Brad and Jamie Thomas joined the staff in August of 2007 and have been pastoring the students of PC4Square ever since. Brad grew up in Surrey British Columbia Canada and accepted Christ as His savior when he was 4 years old. He was called into pastoral ministry at a Pre-Teen Camp meeting when he was 12 years old. Jamie was saved and filled with the Spirit after a church service when she was 12 years old and quickly discovered her call to student ministries. Jamie lived all over British Columbia Canada before settling in Langley and eventually moving to Oklahoma!
Born in Blackwell and raised in central Kansas Donelda moved back to Blackwell at the age of 18 and has lived in Oklahoma since that time. Donelda came on staff in 2001 as the church secretary. Donelda grew up in teh Baptist church and accepted Christ at the age of 8. However it wasn't until she was 23 that she was filled with the spirit.
